"Peet and Repeat were in a boat. If Peet fell out who was left?" I used to try and annoy Peet with that joke.. But enough about that Joke. Let's talk about Peet. A brother from another mother (All my brothers are, since not biologically related to anyone) A friend who loves at all time.. Peter means rock and one things rocks are? Well they're firmly grounded and are unable to move unless moved, Well in a cool way Peet is like that. He's firmly grounded and rooted in his love for the Lord. He isn't easily moved by people unless he chooses to move or persuaded by the.. He's determined in growing deeply more and more in love with the Lord. He has a real and refreshing way of looking at things where sometimes you feel people just make it seem like a fairy tale or you're a horrible person. Genuine like his brother Lu... He's outgoing and spontaneous. His relationships/friendships are deeply invested in. He doesn't just jump in for the ride. He put 100% into each and every one of them. Loves people and desires to love people unconditionally..Which I often have trouble loving people. He has shown me that the verse "Whoever lives in love, lives in God and God in him." He wants God shown in every area of his life and often God gives the people the gift of love.
As I was writing this I just had a happy picture of Peter and Jesus sitting side by side laughing. Jesus is laughing at something Peter said and then it suddenly got silent as they just sat in each other's company. Just content and peaceful. Nothing else needed to be said. That's there is so rich and wonderful to sitting by Jesus's side. He's one of the rare Gems among gems (I hate using that phrase) But Peet really is.....
